LOOSE is an ongoing documentary, performance project created by DJ and video artist, D’hana Perry. LOOSE is an autobiographical examination of how gender expression, and racial identity intersect when trans* and gender-non-conforming people of color navigate public space. Within LOOSE, Perry creates site-specific, immersive spaces where the documentary template can be disrupted; especially as it pertains to its traditional anthropological pursuits. Drawing inspiration from club and Internet culture, temporary autonomous zones, and the metaphysical, LOOSE is designed to be improvisational. No two performances are the same.

A/S/L serves as an adaptation of LOOSE. Here, Perry introduces sculpture, live remixed vocal material with a soundscape provided by the production and art collective, KUNQ. Stay after the performance for DURO #3 with KUNQ member and fellow LOOSE participant, Micah Domingo + Rizzla, Stud1nt, False Witness, and SHYBOI.
